Andrew Benhase has a 29 year Network Security background focused exclusively on data networking and information assurance technologies.

Andrews technical background stretches back to Systems Engineering for IBM Series/1 mainframes and bisynchronous networking to SNA and now scaling to 100 Gigabit IP security architectures today.


Early in his career, he was instrumental in the initial deployment and design for packet filtering as a firewall technology as well as the eventual adoption of stateful firewalls in the mid-90s from NTI, CheckPoint and TIS, the precursors to all modern firewall technologies.

He has spent the last 20+ years working with a primary focus and background within the US Defense and Intelligence communities.

During this time he focused specifically on Defensive Cyber Operations, Tactical Networking designs, US Government Encryption, Military Satellite Communications, Cyber Range Designs and Advanced Quality of Service designs over global satellite networks.


Andrew has traveled extensively across the globe working with customers in Asia, Americas, Europe and the Middle East. As a Trusted Advisor and Customer Advocate, he believes that customers more closely trust an individual with actual hands-on, operational expertise.

Currently he is the Security Architect and Technology Leader for the US Public Sector Theater, focusing primarily on Information Assurance architectures, Advanced Cryptography and security designs for cloud based computing architectures focusing on the US Defense and Intelligence Sectors.

Specific areas of technical focus are for developing robust defenses based on Network Flow Based Analytics and Visualization and advanced use of QoS technologies to combat, isolate and help to identify Advanced Persistent Threats to customer networks.

Andrew has lived in Melbourne, Florida since 1990.
